BIRSTALL & WANLIP ROUND-UP |
||||
Dear Residents
It's been another fair few weeks since my last Round-up and since that time, the evenings have continued to draw in and weather has increasingly become less…sunshiney, figuratively and literally! Nonetheless, the Local Policing Team have been cracking on, further engaging with schools, local residents and businesses.
We have seen an increase in recent weeks of residential burglaries, specifically within the Riverside Ward of Birstall, investigations are ongoing but due to the volume we will be seeking assistance from specialist units within the force to support the myself and Dave as we look to identify culprits & pursue the restorative method. Additionally, if any residents have any relevant information or images/CCTV that may assist the Police, we encourage everybody to make contact either via the Leicestershire Police website, Neighbourhood Link and where applicable, PCSO 6174 Jon HARRISON.
Beyond this, we continue to monitor the ASB and Road Safety concerns in the villages, specifically Birstall with the aforementioned, though since the kids returned to schools there has been a marked decline in ASB concerns. We will be looking to undertake speed check ops in the immediate future and continue to monitor the 3 primary school drop-off/pick-up times for inconsiderate parking, inappropriate driving and other related unacceptable behaviour.
Until next time, stay safe & stay vigilant.
